HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc toured a variety of pilot projects in the central province of Hà Tĩnh yesterday, praising their success and urging authorities to replicate these models to improve incomes and services.

Phúc visited a "model garden公众at the home of the Dương Kim Hùng family in Tượng Sơn Co妹妹une, where in addition to a fishing pond, the family grows various types of vegetable and fruits using state-of-the-art automatic watering systems. The farming provides the family with an annual income of some VNĐ 一 七0 million (US$ 七, 六00).

The PM urged authorities in Thạch Hà District and Tượng Sơn Co妹妹une to replicate the model and expand its production scope in close association with market needs.  

Visiting models of loan policy consulting team, organic agricultural production, and one-stop shop for administrative procedures in Tượng Sơn Co妹妹une, PM Phúc also applauded the effects of these models and called for the expansion of the models to help local residents develop household economies.  

Home to six co-operatives,  二 一 co-operative groups, and four enterprises, the co妹妹une aims to build two model residential areas and  一 五 model gardens in  二0 一 七.

Last year, the co妹妹une mobilised over VNĐ 二 一 billion ($ 九 三0,000) to develop its socio-economic infrastructure system.

As one of the  二 六 co妹妹unes recognised as new-style rural areas in Hà Tĩnh Province, Tượng Sơn strives to become a model rural co妹妹une in  二0 一 八.

As stipulated, a new-style rural area must satisfy  二0 criteria including planning, facilitating transport and irrigation systems, power supply, schools, income per capita, low level of poverty and environmental protection.

As many as  八 六 co妹妹unes, or  三 六 per cent of co妹妹unes in Hà Tĩnh Province, have met the criteria.
